The first consulate to open in New York in 1783, the Consulate General of France celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2012 in its current premises. The “934” on Fifth Avenue is arguably the best-known address of the French in New York. It has been their “town hall” for sixty years. The Consulate General of France in New York bears witness to the rich heritage of French diplomatic posts and French gastronomy abroad.
