Maitres Cuisiniers De France Compete and Win in D’Artagnan’s 2013 Duckathlon

Duckathlon MCF TeamD’Artagnan’s 8th annual Duckathlon took place this past weekend in NYC’s Meatpacking district. The event pits some of NYC’s  best chefs against each other in a battle for gastronomical prowess. Maitres Cuisiniers De France USA Canada/Clement represented the organization. On the team were Chefs Bernard Liberatore, Philippe Bertineau, Odette Bertineau, Claude Godard, and Karen Dumonet.

Blind tasting teaAlthough the team did not win the Harney & Sons blind tea tasting, they did manage to take home three prizes and have a lot of fun.

mcf duckathlon dartagnanSadly, the team was unable to carjack the duck mobile, but they got to take home some delicious milk fed pork from St. Canuts Farms for winning the “pigsaw puzzle”, Chateau de Laubade Armagnac (for sweeping away the competition at the Armagnac tasting), and a torchon of duck foie gras from the one, the only: D’Artagnan. The Maitres Cuisiniers de France USA-Canada team took home the Bronze Medal for the event.
